  1. The meeting was called to order by Judie Rose. Judie asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the 2006 annual meeting. The spelling of Mr. Mackereth’s name was corrected and the minutes were approved with a motion by John Siffert, seconded by Gerald Melgaard. Motion carried.
  • 2007 Boating Regulations: Joel Mackereth from the Wright County Sheriff’s Department Water and Recreation Division, reported on the new boating regulations. He explained that there are 30 patrol deputies that patrol over 200 lakes. It is their job to keep people safe on the lake. Mr. Mackereth suggested checking out the website at www.DNR.state.mn.us/boating for more information.
  • Pumping/Lake Level: The lake level on July 25th was measured at 964.72 and August 11th measured at964.92. The target lake level is 964.5. It was reported that last year the water clarity was 30 feet, this year it is 14 feet. John Siffert asked about the water quality survey. It was suggested that it be repeated every five years.
  • Budget: Kathryn Hoy presented the proposed budget for 2008. Budgeted $5000 for milfoil for updatedsurveys. We will be doing another survey in August 2007 and June 2008 to treat the heavy traffic areas as a result of the previous surveys. The DNR does not feel the milfoil is bad enough to issue a permit to treat the milfoil. It is the goal of the board to have everything in place so we are prepared to address our milfoil problem with the DNR.

$33,500 budgeted for 2008. We have a balance in the account of $56,895.18.A motion was made by John Siffert to accept the budget as presented, seconded by John Campbell.

New Business:

Pulaski Ponds: Brad DeWolf, consulting engineer for the City of Buffalo is proposing to Mert Auger, cityadministrator, to bring the pond back to its original design. Phosphors level is too high. Mr. DeWolf wants to export frozen cubes of the ponds to fields during the winter 2008.

Sewer Project: The sewer project by the city of Buffalo will get started in the spring of 2008 and continue into thelate fall.

Bill Jundt was re-elected for another 3 year term.

Judie Rose adjourned the meeting at 8:15 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
