Lake Pulaski LID Board Meeting Minutes
Location, Date & Time: Huikko’s Bowling Center, Buffalo, 11/5/14 7:00pm
Attendees: Bill Jundt, Dave Tauscher, Jill Murphy, Jon Tank & Brooke Cebulla
Previous Business:

• Board approved minutes from previous meeting on 10/1/14.

New Business:

• Reviewed, discussed and edited new By-Laws (2nd draft).
• Sending updated By-Laws to Greg Kryzer, attorney, for final approval before annual meeting.
• Jill Murphy obtained new PO Box to be used for all LID mail. New address to be used: P.O. Box 332 Buffalo, MN 55313.
• Bill Jundt reported that the pumping status is finished. Last numbers reported on 10/27/14 were 964.47.
• Bill Jundt suggested fencing with barb wire to protect pumps from vandalism and theft, and to re-wire current fence for protection, as there has been signs of tampering. Jon Tank proposed a motion to obtain bids and Dave Tauscher seconded, motion passed.
• Update from Dave Tauscher regarding AIS. He shared information from former board member, Linda Engwal. Reports were shared with board from Freshwater Scientific Services. Invoice given to Jill Murphy (Treasurer) to be paid for mapping services done of big and little Lake Pulaski. Mapping is required every five years by the DNR, for yearly weed control. Jon Tank purposed to add $600.00 as line item every year, to pay for mapping. Dave Tauscher moved to pass and pay invoice, Bill Jundt seconded. Motion passed.

Financial Report:

• Jill Murphy reported/discussed financial statements and expenses, including costs of insurance and liability fees.
• Jill Murphy met with former board treasurer, Katherine Hoy, and reviewed past budgets. Jill will discuss Katherine’s notes at next LID meeting.
• Jill received check from the Lake Pulaski Improvement Association in the amount of $1,132.00. Jon Tank purposed to close that account and have the check placed in the PLID general account. Bill Jundt seconded, motion passed.
• Discussed cost of Lake Pulaski web page. Jon Tank motioned to continue to pay Go Daddy for this service for $176.30 per year. The board will continue to keep current ads on website and Jill Murphy will invoice said companies. Bill Jundt seconded, motion passed.

Open Discussion:

• Dave Tauscher asked to look into having J & J’s sporting goods to make Lake Pulaski apparel.
• Bill Jundt sent email to Brad DeWolf (DNR) regarding pond status. Brad sent back report stating that they are working with the city of Buffalo to restore the pond back to its original designed capacity.
• Jon Tank purposed conducting LID meetings via email when necessary until February. Dave Tauscher seconded, motion passed.

Meeting Adjourned: Jon Tank motioned to adjourn the meeting at 9:14pm. Jill Murphy seconded, motion carried.
