Water Levels

Importance of Lake Pulaski’s Water Level

to Residents

Why is the water level information so crucial to the residents of Lake Pulaski? This is because Lake Pulaski needed a pumping system installed in the early 1980s. The lake level increased to a point where properties were severely damaged, and some were lost. Lake Pulaski Improvement District was formed to work with the Army Corp of Engineers to install this pumping system.

Usage of the Pumps

The board listed specific requirements that need to be met in order for the LID Boards to turn on the pumps. This will lower Lake Pulaski water levels by pumping the excess to Buffalo Lake and the Crow River. See the LID Board History page for more information.
