Lake Pulaski LID Board Meeting Minutes                                                              

Location, Date & Time: Murphy Co Design, 15 Division St E Buffalo, 4/18/17 7:00pm

  • Attendees: Bill Jundt, Tom Marr, Jill Murphy, Jon Tank, Brooke Cebulla
  • This monthly meeting is held for the Lake Pulaski Improvement District members and is open to the public.
  • Meeting was called to order by Jon Tank.

Previous Business:

  • Bill Jundt made a motion to approve the February 6th, 2017 LID minutes. Motion seconded by Tom Marr. Motion approved.

New Business:

  • Jon Tank reported on 2017 staffing and inspections. Jon spoke with Lee Ryan at the city of Buffalo and Lee said he will have inspectors ready to go on May 14′. The DNR will be conducting an educational training for level one inspectors in Buffalo at the Buffalo Civic Center. Information will be posted on the Lake Pulaski website, at www.1akepu1aski.cont if anyone would like more information on becoming a level one inspector this year. The applications for this is through the city of Buffalo.
  • Jon Tank provided an update on the outflow proposal that the LID has been working on with the City of Buffalo, the DNR, Buffalo Lake residents and Deer Lake residents. The LID would like to put a monitoring plan in place by this spring. Jon and Bill will be placing a call to the DNR to set up another meeting to discuss if the outflow proposal should continue to move forward, or if the LID will stop pursing the plan. Jon Tank will also make a phone call to Tami Diehm regarding her information on the issue and to see if she feels the LID should pursue.
  • Tom Marr provided an AIS update. Tom is going to contact Jennifer Jones from Lake Restoration to find out the best depth for weed spraying to best eradicate weeds.

This year Lake Pulaski residents can go to the Lake Pulaski website in the event that they do NOT want Lake Restoration to spray their property for weeds,

  • Bill Jundt reported that four, new, large buoys will be placed this spring along the Little Pulaski channel, and the buoys will be placed by the fishing opener.
  • Bill Jundt is sending an email to the city of Buffalo putting in a request to dredge the Pulaski Ponds near the roundabout.

Financial Report:

  • Jill Murphy reported/discussed financial statements and expenses. In the last three months payments went out to the following: Wenck, Schlenner Wenner & Co, Wynthrop, City of Buffalo and the DNR. Current balance as of 3/31/17 was $70,286.00.

  • Jon Tank motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:58pm. Tom Marr seconded, motion carried, meeting adjourned.
