Lake Pulaski LID Board Meeting Minutes
Location, Date & Time: Murphy Co Design, 15 Division St E Buffalo, MN 55313. November 11, 2015 at 7:00pm.
Attendees: Tom Marr, Jill Murphy & Jon Tank
This monthly meeting is held for the Lake Pulaski Improvement District members and is open to the public.
Previous Business:
- Jon Tank made a motion to approve the October 7, 2015 LID minutes, Jill Murphy seconded. Motion approved.
New Business:
- AIS Permits: Tom Marr has been in contact with Lake Restoration regarding permit applications and requirements by the State/DNR. Tom did state that the grant money has been reduced significantly for 2016.
- AIS Inspectors: Jon Tank had put together a proposal showing the cost of staffing the boat landing at Griffing Park with level 1 inspectors staring on May 1st through October 31st 6am-10pm, 16 hours a day totaling $47,104.00. He did state that there are a couple of different options, as the LID has discussed the possibility of a gate, and additional funding from the City of Buffalo. Jon also stated that his figures did not include any funding by the State/DNR, as that information has not been published yet. Jon also stated that he has been in contact with Joe Jacobs regarding a new screen for the pumps that will allow us to pump if infested with Zebra mussels. He is unsure of the cost at this point. Should have a better idea in early 2016.
- The LID is trying to schedule a meeting with the city to discuss the proposal by the end of 2015. Waiting to hear back on dates and times.
Financial Report:
- Jill Murphy reported/discussed financial statements and expenses. Jill stated that she is trying to schedule a meeting with the CPA firm Schlenner Wenner for December.
• Meeting Adjourned: Jon Tank motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:48pm.
