Wright County Sheriff’s Notice

Dear Homeowners –

I was just contacted by Sergeant Scherber of the Wright County Sherriff’s Office addressing multiple complaints about some lake use issues.

The following issues / complaints have been observed:

  1. Personal Water Craft (Jet skis) operating past the one hour prior to sunset law. 
  • PWCs can only be operated between 9:30 a.m. and one hour before sunset
  1. No life jackets
  2. Excessive drinking
  3. Wake-surfing past dark 
  4. Extremely loud music with inappropriate lyrics 

The Wright County Water Patrol will be increasing their presence on Lake Pulaski.

Sergeant Scherber reminded me that “most infractions are of the lake homeowners”.

Please help the Sherriff’s office by following the laws and being courteous to others.
